In the fall of 1958, John and Marion Poulakis drove out to the East End of Long Island in search of a new way of life. On their way home, they saw a small motel on a hillside overlooking the Shinnecock Bay and were very impressed by its great location. Marion instantly began to envision the wonderful possibilities. Not long after, they decided to follow through with their vision and The Hampton Maid became their new home. Now, three generations later, we continue to grow and serve our guests with the same passion and enthusiasm that began over 50 years ago. What began as a sketch of the Maid in Marion’s mind has grown into a brand that’s been part of many people’s lives.
Today, The Hampton Maid is a seasonal retreat and a breakfast eatery, that for over 50 years, has been a favorite destination for those who want to escape the hustle and bustle of city life or simply enjoy some of the best breakfasts the Hamptons has to offer.
